51% voted for right of centre parties so have got pretty much the government they want.

Not sure that winning elections is all that it is cracked up to be anyway. when you look at significant policy changes they are often advocated by groups who never win power and are eventually taken up by Governments.

Bear that in mind.

Sounds like a plan.

UKIP could change their banner to a swastika and advocate torturing all babies to death as a sacrifice to Quetzalcoatl and would still have more credibility than the LibDems.

Who in their right mind would vote for these jokers, we will be fucked over by the tories over the coming years I suggest the 60% who didn't want the tories in all vote for the liberals, please.

Re: UKIP leader quits after 18 days in charge
Was gonna say almost exactly that Bungo, its almost religious. They can be absolutely normal, great, lovely people but if the conversation turns to politics everything just becomes a stream of hatred towards Tories/"Blairites" and adoration for Corbyn, and if they by chance find out you don't vote Labour (or god forbid voted leave etc) then god help you cos they will not let it drop. Ruined many a social interaction and even friendships.

Its like if a vegan shows up at a party and notices someone eating a sausage roll or a feminist lesbian hears someone call a woman "love". That's it, fun over, everyone now has to listen to lectures and watch what they say/do from now on.

Say what you want about Tories but I've never, ever noticed this sort of behaviour from them. Bizarre that conservatives (small c) are easily the most laid back people these days.

Re: UKIP leader quits after 18 days in charge
They are often so fired up with righteous zeal that they feel it is socially acceptable to talk about 'Tory Scum' or 'UKIP racists' in front of Conservative and UKIP voting friends and relatives and not only can't see why this might cause ill-feeling, but take any mild disagreement as further proof that they are right.

Unlike normal people, if you happen to know one, they are determined to talk about it (him), and spoil what would otherwise have been a normal social interaction.

They are a bit like religious fanatics in their zeal.

Actually hard to avoid.

I know a few yeah (and Corbynista behaviour on social media is hard to ignore if you're on facebook/twitter etc like 99.9% of the planet). What part of this would you find hard to believe?

UKIP destroying themselves a là Labour so the Tories can run riot with their bigotry, what a wonderful world we live in.

Why can't we laugh at UKIP the way we laugh at Labour.

In isolation.

Bit sad seeing decent posters give it the 'yeah but the left wing' shit.

Re: UKIP leader quits after 18 days in charge
Carswell seems such a decent, straight arrow sort of fellow. It makes him totally out of place in UKIP. Since defecting his voting record has been as conservative as the conservatives.

He"ll no doubt return from whence he came.
